Why Join PTA
The PTA is an advocacy group for children & families here at K.E. Taylor. The number one reason to join the Parent Teacher Association is to advocate for your child. In doing so, you also help our school. There are many more advantages to joining PTA. Here are just a few:
Get Connected. There’s no better way to know what’s happening in your school.
Discover Great Resources. The PTA offers a variety of programs designed for parents as well as students.
Tap into a Network. Parenting is not easy. Our PTA Network is valuable for sharing ideas, concerns and experiences with other parents and educators. PTA functions are great events to meet other parents and teachers, build rapport and discuss issues to help strengthen our families and community.
Watch Yourself Grow. By volunteering with your PTA, you gain valuable experience. Volunteering is an opportunity to put your skills and hobbies to good use for a good cause – for your child & all children in the community.
Speak Up. Because the PTA is a forum for exchanging ideas, you are encouraged to make suggestions. PTA is just one way for you to more effectively support important decisions at your child’s school.
Become a member today even if you don’t have time to volunteer or attend the meetings! It’s only $5 per person – moms, dads, grandparents…anyone can join. Your membership directly benefits the students at K.E. Taylor by allowing us to provide new technology, classroom supplies and additional programs for the school. Download the forms and send it in to school with your student to turn in to the front office. Remember…there is power in numbers. The more PTA members that we have the better advocate that we can be for our children. So why not join today!
